La Claie Productions, founded in 1995 and based in central France, offers consulting services to technology, media, and telecommunications companies around the globe. Our activities include software design and engineering, documentation and technology journalism, and technical translation. Our clients include Alcatel, Apple Computer, CTM Development (Switzerland, Internet software), DDMI Global (Digital Distribution in the Music Industry), The International Herald Tribune, Keycorp (Australia, smart card systems), Mondex International (UK, smart card systems), Proton World (Belgium, smart card systems), Schlumberger, Vivendi, and Waves (Israel, digital audio software), among others.
La Claie Records produces a small number of audiophile quality recordings of traditional music, jazz, and spoken word.
about Charles Tobermann
Charles Tobermann has over 15 years experience as a musician and record producer, software engineer, technical writer, and journalist. He holds degrees in music from the University of California and the University of Virginia and has done advanced studies in computer science at Harvard University. He has worked as a software engineer in the areas of digital media, telecommunications, and data security, including 6 years at Apple Computer’s Paris R&D center. He currently specializes in the areas of digital media over networks (especially wireless), smart cards, and data security (especially digital media asset protection). He has written extensively about technology for publications including the International Herald Tribune.
